Hey campgrounds - this is summer time - where's the amenities???? The trash bins were over-flowing and trash was all over the ground. Pigs must have camped there over the holiday week-end.

"Norris Dam is a hydroelectric and flood control structure located on the Clinch River in Anderson County and Campbell County, Tennessee, USA. Its construction in the mid-1930s was the first major project for the Tennessee Valley Authority, which had been created in 1933 to bring economic development to the region and control the rampant flooding that had long plagued the Tennessee Valley. The dam was named in honor of Nebraska Senator George Norris (1861-1944), a longtime supporter of government-owned power in general, and supporter of TVA in particular."

Norris Dam is a straight concrete gravity-type dam. The dam is 1860 feet long and 265 feet high. Norris Lake, the largest reservoir on a tributary of the Tennessee River, has 33,840 acres of water surface and 809 miles of shoreline. The dam has a maximum generating capacity of 131,400 kilowatts.
Unfortunately
Karen Duquette was feeling a bit ill, so they had to return to the RV.
Lee and Alex then went to the store, and when they returned, they went
to the pool for awhile. Later, Karen went to the pool too, but she still
was not feeling very well. It rained on and off all evening so there was
not much to do.
The next day, Karen was still not feeling much better. She was still sleeping when Lee and Alex went to the pool. Then it rained really hard and the thunder was so loud it made everyone jump. So it was not a very exciting day. But at least Alex got some time in the pool. After all, this trip was really all about Alex having a good time.
